Adding a festival to the catalog

Found a festival that belongs on the map? When you are signed in, you can add it so other travelers can find it too. Adding an event is free, and you only need a Festurah account (through Google Sign-In) to do it.

What an event holds

Each event carries a set of details. When you create one, you can fill in:

  • Name and description
  • Website link, so people can get official info and tickets
  • Start and end dates (Festurah is built for multi-day events)
  • Location: address, venue, and coordinates, so it shows up in the right spot on the map
  • Event type or category (music, art, cultural celebration, ren faire, car show, and the like)
  • Whether camping is allowed on site
  • Whether the event recurs

The more of these you fill in accurately, the more useful the listing is for everyone browsing nearby.

Add set times with microevents

Big festivals have a lot going on. After the event exists, you can add "microevents," which are the set times or sub-events inside it, like a specific act's slot on a given night. This helps other travelers plan their days.

Share info you can stand behind

Festurah is shared by travelers, so please add real, accurate details. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Only submit information you have the right to share (public event details and official website info are fine).
  • Double-check dates and location before you save. Wrong coordinates send people to the wrong place.
  • Adding an event does not make you its owner. If you represent the festival, you can separately claim ownership to manage its details.
