Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the things people ask most. If you do not see yours here, reach out and we will help.
Is Festurah free?
Yes, completely. Festurah is a free web app and PWA. It stays free thanks to ads through Google AdSense, so there is no cost to you for finding festivals and events.
Do I need an account?
No. You can browse and discover events without signing in. An account is optional. If you want to sign in, it happens through Google Sign-In, a third party. Festurah never creates or stores a password, and a signed-in account just keeps your email, display name, profile-picture URL, and your saved collections.
How is my location used?
Only to show you festivals and events near you. Festurah does not keep a location history, does not track you across other sites, and collects the minimum data needed to do its job.
What can I do once I am signed in?
Plenty. You can favorite events, save events, build a personal schedule, create new events, add microevents, claim ownership of an event, and set up camping profiles for your preferences and setup.
How do I add an event?
Sign in, then create a new event. You can give it a name, description, website link, start and end dates, a location, a category, whether camping is allowed, and whether it recurs. You can also add microevents to it later.
What is a microevent?
A microevent is a set-time or sub-event inside a festival, like a specific act's set time. It lets you capture the schedule within a bigger event.
How do I claim my event?
Sign in and request ownership. If your verified email domain matches the event website's domain, it auto-approves. Otherwise it waits for review by the current owner or an admin. Owning an event lets you manage its details, though it grants no real-world rights to the festival itself.
How do I report a problem?
